Great interview, thanks for posting, this guy gets it right and will continue to with this approach. Those who think their method is the "end all be all" are eventually disappointed when the results are inconsistent. There is no unified theory of training, focus on what works!! Thnks for that direction Ben, keep up the good work,

Can't wait to give this a listen. For anyone not aware Ben is currently among the top golf fitness trainers in the world, with several of the world's top 10 players in his stable. Luke Donald, Webb Simpson and Jason Day to name a few.

Perry, Ben told me this was more of a rant than an interview so I know it's going to be good!

Hello!
I really appreciated this interview. I learned a lot and am enthused. I coach a women's lacrosse team and I play lacrosse myself. Plus I'm interested in athletic training. It's great to hear your ideas of working together as a team to understand the person you are trying to help. I am encouraged by your honesty about bringing it back to basics - I have noticed the tendency that all the new equipment and technology can bring but I have wondered if it's all hype so it was good to hear that a main stream person is trying to bring it back to basics. I also appreciate your passion for helping people and for listening to them - where they are at and taking assessments of what is going on.

I am intrigued to go to a physical therapist nearby and talk with them about the hips - I have clicking and a lot of pain in upper hamstrings and have been on the trail to figure out what I can do or who to talk to for the past year so I'd love any suggestions you have.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to talk about all this. We would love to have you come to our school - let me know if you ever get out to Minnesota!

Is sandbag training the future? Consider the strength, health, and fitness benefits described here, and you can clearly see there is much to get excited about. Indeed, insightful advice supported by proven scientific principles, shows the positive impact this style of training can have on your workouts.

Also excited to see how sandbag training encourages improved performance in the squat and the deadlift. As an advocate of abbreviated strength training with over 20 years lifting experience, I believe these two exercises provide the core of any effective muscle building routine.

No doubt, sandbag training significantly aids their implementation, just as this regimen promotes "safe lifting" - more key weight lifting benefits!

An excellent interview. Thank-you :-)

I am a pilates instructor and hosted a group seminar in my studio with other instructors. It was wonderful and I am looking forward to our next seminar. AIS is totally different and helps to increase range of motion. I have found it helps clients who come in with pain to do AIS stretches first. It is a great compliment to pilates and I highly recommend it for all pilates instructors. Marjorie is a wonderful teacher - Thanks Marjorie.

AIS has helped me and my clients tremendously. Since learning AIS I have taken some of Marjorie's seminars. She has a unique way of making it all come together. Marjorie's classes are educational, fun, informative and a must-take.

AIS is a great modality for increasing range of motion after traumatic injury and/or surgery. It is painless but incredibly effective! I am amazed by the results Marjorie has gotten after only three sessions. She is a wonderful practitioner of AIS! No words can adequately express how great AIS and Marjorie are...just amazing!
